
NeoCarbon announced a strategic partnership with Greenman, one of Europe's leading real estate investment fund managers, which owns and manages a portfolio of more than 90 supermarkets and food retailers across Germany.
The first module installed in the pilot project is expected to capture several tonnes of CO₂ per year. NeoCarbon's technology can be integrated into the building's existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, no structural changes to the property required.
By using waste heat as an energy source, for example, the excess heat generated by freezers and refrigerators, the modules can reduce carbon emissions cost-effectively. Supermarkets produce this heat around the clock, which makes them a natural early home for capture units that run on thermal energy the building already dissipates.

The pilot extends NeoCarbon's approach, turning existing waste heat into carbon removal, from industrial sites into the buildings people visit every day.
